Hi, I’m Kota

I’m a Utah local and love taking in the nature Utah has to offer. Hiking and camping are some of my favorite pastimes. I love sharing these activities which is why I got my Border Collie, Rigby, in the first place. Rigby has been my trusted companion for many years now, but we would not have the freedom and luxury we do now to go any where and do almost any together without the amazing benefits of training. The change this has made in both of our lives is unmeasurable, this is why I am here: To better the lives of both owners and their dogs.

I have been training dogs since 2017, my background is working with pet dogs in multiple capacities including: facilitating enrichment and group classes, conducting private training lessons, and board and train programs. The thing I love most about dog training is assisting clients in strengthening their relationship with their dog.

I have fostered dogs and have worked closely with many rescue organizations. Educating other fosters and new dog owners along with training many dogs before adoption to make them successful in their new home.

I am a graduate from Bart and Michael Bellon’s elite NePoPo® Silver School, I have also earned accreditations from the Canine-Human Relationship Institute and Joel Silverman Dog Training. I have also been a member of International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) since 2019 and I am a certified American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen evaluator.

I am currently working to graduate from the NePoPo® New Gold School and have started competing in AKC Nose Work with Rigby.

I’m passionate about learning and finding the best way to communicate to both the dog and the owner. I want to help keep dogs in their homes and reduce the amount of dogs going into shelters or being abandoned. My goal is to help strengthen the relationship between owners and their dogs, so they can also enjoy this world together, just like Rigby and I.
